Educational Resources

JPS Health Network is dedicated to serving the people of Tarrant County and invested in training the next generation of health care providers. JPS Health Network is the largest medical training hospital in Fort Worth with more than 200 residents and fellows. JPS Health Network also serves as a rotation site for undergraduate medical students, nursing students, and advanced practice nursing providers. JPS Health Network is proud of its heritage of teaching and scholarly activity. Trainees ofJPS Health Network participate in many facets of learning. Learning styles are recreated daily with didactic presentations, innovative programs, e-based learning, and workshops in new technical skills, surgical procedures, and emergency drills.

Each training program brings a different style of learning to enhance the opportunity for an enriched academic environment. JPS has some of the most dedicated faculty in the nation. Residents, Fellows, and Faculty members all participate in scholarly activity, community-based participatory research, and translational research activities. JPS Health Network continues to be a training place for those most interested in delivering quality health care to the underserved population. JPS Health Network desires to be catalyst in closing the gap in health care disparities.

The medical students, residents, and fellows at JPS Health Network come from all over the country. We appreciate the opportunity to have healthcare providers from so many places. JPS Health Network is the place to be!

CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION

The JPS Physician Education Department coordinates AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ in Continuing Medical Education for Physicians, Nurses, and Physician Assistants.

Continuing Medical Education (CME) consists of educational activities which serve to maintain, develop, or increase the knowledge, skills, and professional performance and relationships that a physician uses to provide services for patients, the public, or the profession. The content of CME is that body of knowledge and skills generally recognized and accepted by the profession as within the basic medical sciences, the discipline of clinical medicine, and the provision of health care to the public.*

The target audience for CME is the licensed physician in the post-residency phase of his/her medical career.
