The Community Health Education team is here to help you learn self-management to live a healthy lifestyle and prevent complications. Classes are limited to adults 18 and over. Classes can be done in-person or virtually. Classes are available in English and Spanish. Call JPS Community Health Education at 817-702-7300 for more information.

 

Car Seat Safety
Parents and caregivers will learn how to safely use and install a car seat from a certified child passenger safety technician.

 

Diabetes
The diabetes education program is a two-part series where you will learn the basics of diabetes and how to control your blood sugar through lifestyle modifications. Topics covered are healthy eating, exercise, diabetes medications, insulin, and glucometer use.

 

Heart Failure
A three-part series to help you understand and live with heart failure. Topics covered are symptom management, nutrition, and medication.

 

Hypertension
What does it mean to have hypertension or high blood pressure? Learn about the treatments for high blood pressure and how diet and a healthy lifestyle can prevent long-term problems.
