Volunteer Opportunities

Are you someone who wants to make a positive impact on the lives of patients? Do you want to support the exceptional JPS team in making a difference in the community we serve? If so, you might be just the person we need! At JPS Health Network, we recognize the positive impact volunteers make on our patients and team every day. We seek high-quality, compassionate individuals who are committed to serving others. Our volunteers are carefully screened, trained, and placed within JPS where their skills and talents will shine.

JPS offers volunteering opportunities year-round. Please use the links below to complete our online volunteer application:

If you have additional questions about volunteer opportunities at JPS, please contact us at 817-702-1590 or send an email to volunteers@jpshealth.org.

Patient Visitor Volunteer
These volunteers provide so much: a warm blanket, a listening ear, a glass of cool water, a magazine or book. Volunteers can read to our patients or help them with a puzzle to pass the time. Volunteer visitors give the gift of time: time to focus on the patient and to provide comfort with a smile. These volunteers will be rounding on various floors and units at our main campus in Fort Worth.

Unit Support Volunteer
These volunteers visit patients and assist with general office support for the unit, such as making copies, filing, restocking supplies, answering phones and call lights. Volunteers assist visitors and family members in locating patients and as a liaison between staff and families to communicate non-medical information.

Greeters and Navigators
"Can you help me?" If you're customer service oriented, the answer is always a cheerful "Yes!" These outgoing volunteers greet and guide patients and their families within the hospital or work at the various entry points in the main hospital. A passion for people is a must for these volunteer positions.

Community Clinics
Become a JPS volunteer without leaving your neighborhood! Many of our clinics use volunteers to greet and check in patients, stock supplies and make reminder calls to patients with upcoming appointments. Volunteer service will be conveniently close to home.

Creative Service
We use volunteers in a variety of creative ways throughout the hospital system, from musicians, clowns, pet therapy and "Popper Teams" (Volunteers who pop and serve popcorn to our guests.) Let us know your interests and talents!

Are you looking to make a difference in the lives of patients or caregivers at JPS but not able to volunteer onsite? If so, our Service Project Volunteer program could be a perfect option for you!

We recognize the positive impact volunteers make virtually and want to offer an activity that engages you in volunteer service opportunities.

The Service Project program is designed to directly impact and benefit our JPS patients and caregivers. This opportunity allows you to be engaged in a structured program, serve at your own pace, and obtain service hours, if needed.

Please review the Service Project activities and complete the project application. For questions, call 817-702-1590 or email volunteers@jpshealth.org
