JPS Update Following Downtown Fort Worth Incident
Fort Worth, Texas – At 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9, Dr. Raj Gandhi, JPS Medical Director of Trauma Services, provided media with the following update.
“On January 8, 2024, at 15:46 hours, JPS Health Network received notification through our emergency management team that we were to receive patients from an explosion. We received the first patient 20 minutes later and a total of seven patients throughout the evening.

July 25, 2022, Fort Worth —JPS Health Network has earned the Gold Level Go Clear Award™ for its achievement in eliminating hazardous smoke from its surgical procedures, protecting the health of patients and surgical team members.
JPS is the first hospital in Fort Worth to earn the Gold Level, the highest designation in the recognition program.
