Priyambada Sitoula

Priyambada Sitoula is on her way to becoming a nurse.

She is from Nepal and started working as a pharmacy technician in the JPS Inpatient Pharmacy at JPS about a year ago, preparing and delivering medications to hospital units. Along with working at JPS, she is a pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at the University of Texas at Arlington.

“Since JPS is one of the largest teaching hospitals in Tarrant County, I decided to work here as I believe that it is good opportunity to gain valuable healthcare experience and networking potential. Future employment opportunities, as well as the culture of owning it, seeking joy, and not being a jerk is what keeps me here,” she said.

Working at a hospital gives her a leg up in her studies.

“Professionally, I have learned a lot about medications as a pharmacy technician, which gives me an edge in my education,” she said.

Working alongside nurses at JPS has provided her with insight on what the profession entails.

“I have been able to interact with the amazing nurses here and gain first-hand experience in regard to the hard work and determination of healthcare workers in the face of COVID-19,” she said. “These and many other reasons are why I chose JPS and continue to choose JPS.”
