Spotlight on Angie Morgan

Angie Morgan Executive Director

Angie Morgan, Executive Director of Planning, Design, and Construction at JPS, says she is the personification of the opportunities JPS has to offer team members. She arrived at JPS back in November 1992 as a single mom who needed a steady income, but she didn’t want to be in the direct construction market.

She started as an Administrative Assistant, working her way up through the ranks and holding a variety of roles. Now she runs the Planning, Design, and Construction department, in charge of ensuring projects meet regulatory requirements and the needs of patients, team members, and visitors.

She says the opportunities at JPS are available “if you want to work hard and do a good job – really just immerse yourself in the culture.”

It is the special culture at JPS, which recognizes and values the contributions of team members of all backgrounds, which has helped Morgan grow professionally.

“I’m proud that I have a career in a field I love that actually improves the lives of others.”

“In my previous jobs, I wasn’t exposed to the numerous diverse cultures that we have at JPS. I met just so many people,” she says.

Morgan says she is proud to work in healthcare, a field that she loves, and which helps improve the lives of others.

“I always smile when I read anything positive about JPS – even a random Facebook post. I have always been proud to work here,” she says. “Also, I think my job is easy compared to those in direct patient care. I think they have the hard jobs. It’s made me want to deliver projects that help them take care of the patients in a better environment than what they had.”
