The JPS Podcast: Art in Medicine

The JPS Podcast: Art in Medicine, Dr. Virginia "Ginger" Watson

Season 4: Episode 1 Show Notes

Art surrounds us, motivates us, and speaks to something often unspoken. So how exactly does medicine fit into this?

"Art in medicine is a way to humanize healthcare. We are surrounded by art everywhere: on the walls, in the music we listen to, and in the dance and movement we provide," Ginger Watson, Inpatient Teaching-Attending Hospitalist, said.

Brian Maschino and Tatiyana Giddings meet with Dr. Watson to understand how art bridges these gaps in our conversations to be better caregivers, patients, and people. If this conversation in art and medicine speaks to you, speak to us: podcast@jpshealth.org
