Pharmacy Inspection

The JPS South Campus Health Center Pharmacy passed biannual state inspection with zero deficiencies, earning high praise from a Texas State Board of Pharmacy inspector who declared it in full compliance with state regulations intended to keep patients safe.

“He used words like neat, clean, orderly and organized,” said Trista Ritchey, manager of business operations. The audit found spotless record-keeping.

JPS pharmacies dispense about 120,000 prescriptions a month for Tarrant County residents, including patients hospitalized at John Peter Smith Hospital and patients seeing practitioners at one of more than 40 outpatient medical home clinics. Pharmacy team members number about 300. South Campus Pharmacy is one of two pick-up-only locations in the network, designed with the transportation needs of South Campus patients in mind (and increasing the odds that patients will take their meds).
