First Community Listening Session is May 11. Survey for Tarrant County residents is now open.
May 10, 2022; Fort Worth, Texas — JPS Health Network is holding its first Community Listening Session on May 11, and has launched an online survey to receive public input as plans are developed for future projects in the JPS Bond Program, an $800-million bond construction project to update JPS facilities.
The Community Listening Session is being held to receive information and opinions from neighbors near the planned Medical Home Southwest. The feedback will help shape the services provided and facility design of the new clinic.
JPS Medical Home Southwest is slated to be the first major project of the JPS Bond Program. Its location is being finalized. It will include primary care services and additional specialty care services – all under one roof for the convenience of patients.
The 20-question survey is an opportunity for Tarrant County residents to share input and ideas on how they use area medical facilities and provide feedback on how JPS can provide facilities and health resources that meet their needs. The responses will help JPS leaders better understand the community’s healthcare and behavioral/mental health needs as the Bond Program is implemented.
“By participating in our survey and upcoming listening sessions, the community can have an impact on the patient experience, health resources, and facility design that will be available to Medical Home Southwest,” said Dr. Karen Duncan, President & CEO of JPS Health Network. “This facility will be a community health center designed for patients and families in southern Tarrant County, so their input on what they would like to see is critical.”
An in-person Community Listening Session is scheduled for 6 - 7:30 p.m. on May 11 at the Dionne Phillips Bagsby Southwest Subcourthouse, 6551 Granbury Road, Fort Worth. A virtual event is planned for May 17.
