We’re here to help.

The topic of suicide has been widespread because of some high profile cases in the news.

We want to take this opportunity to reach out to our community and let you know that JPS Health Network stands ready to help anyone who is struggling with depression or other mental health challenges.

If you have had thoughts of hurting yourself or taking your own life, or someone you know is in crisis, get help immediately. Call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-TALK (8255). Trained crisis workers are available to talk 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you think someone is in immediate danger, call 911.

People experiencing mental health crisis can be evaluated and treated at the JPS Psychiatric Emergency Center. It is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is located on the 10th floor of John Peter Smith Hospital’s main building, at 1500 S. Main St., Fort Worth.

JPS also offers a range of behavioral health services, including medication management, individual and group therapy, psychological testing, partial hospitalization programs, and intensive outpatient programs.

We have clinics throughout Tarrant County and we work with patients and their families to assess their needs and determine an appropriate treatment plan.

For information about JPS Behavioral Health Services or to access non-emergency mental health care, please call us at 817-702-3100 or email us at psychinfo@jpshealth.org.
