Why JPS? JPS Health Network serves as Tarrant County's public health system, providing high-quality care regardless of a person's ability to pay. With more than one million patient encounters annually and a growing network of hospitals, clinics, and specialty services, JPS plays a critical role in caring for our community.
What is the main goal of this group? To build strong bonds across communities for the JPS Health Network.
What qualifications or qualities do you look for in members? Members should demonstrate a strong commitment to the network and foundation mission, a genuine interest in public healthcare and service, reliability with strong follow-through, a collaborative spirit, and ideally some prior volunteer experience.
What are the annual engagement and service commitments? As a member, we ask that you participate in at least two foundation or group events per year and complete one or more volunteer opportunities annually through our initiatives.
What is expected regarding fundraising support? Members help support our financial goals in a few flexible ways, including attending, planning, or sourcing items for our signature fundraiser, serving as an ambassador for giving days, sharing fundraising opportunities within your personal network.
How do members help with advocacy and networking? Members are asked to introduce at least two new contacts or organizations to our engagement opportunities each year and to assist with outreach for community partnerships, sponsorships, or event participation.
How do members contribute to leadership and collaboration? Members collaborate closely with the team by partnering with staff to plan events, service days, or education programs, and by upholding a culture of professionalism, inclusivity, and mission alignment at all times.
Is there a minimum financial contribution required? Yes, members contribute a $100 minimum financial support annually.
About the JPS Foundation
The JPS Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising money to provide goods and services to continue to make JPS Health Network a regional and national leader in transforming healthcare delivery. Our three pillars of giving are our patients, our community, and our team members. As the county’s essential hospital, JPS provides healthcare to all Tarrant County residents, regardless of their ability to pay. While government funding plays a role in helping us fulfill that commitment, the JPS Foundation raises funds to fill the gap between that funding and the additional resources needed to provide the high-quality care our patients deserve.
