FORT WORTH, TX - Elwyn Grimes, MD, FACOG, has joined JPS Health Network as Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He also serves as professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. Prior to joining JPS, Grimes served as professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rush University School of Medicine and Medical Center. Grimes has also served in leadership positions at John H. Stroger, Jr., Hospital of Cook County, Meharry Medical College and the University of Missouri School of Medicine at Kansas City.
Grimes holds a bachelor's degree in biology from Jackson State University and medical degree from Meharry Medical College. He completed his residency in Obstetrics at Kansas City General Hospital and Medical Center and a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital and Harvard School of Medicine. Grimes is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology.
