Rick Stevens named Vice President of Operations
Rick L. Stevens has been named Vice President of Operations for the JPS Health Network. In that capacity he will be responsible for Cardiology, Cancer Services, Radiology, Facilities Management and Customer Service.
He was recently named winner of Modern Healthcare's 2005 Up and Comers Award.
Prior to joining JPS, Stevens had served as executive director of support services for Caritas Health Services, Louisville, KY. He has also held similar positions with University Medical Center - Zale Lipshy and St. Paul University Hospitals, Dallas; Medical Center of Arlington and Parkland Memorial Hospital.
He is a member is the American College of Healthcare Executives, the editorial board of Frontiers of Health Services Management magazine, treasurer of the National Association of Health Services Executives and a member of the liability reform act committee of the American Hospital Association.
Stevens holds a master of science in public health degree from Meharry Medical College, Nashville, TN; and a bachelor of science degree in biology from Tennessee State University, Nashville.
