Maternity care is one of the hallmarks of the JPS Family Medicine Residency Program. This includes hands-on training for the examination and treatment of athletes at a variety of facilities, as well as lectures given by sports medicine physicians. Two tracks offer flexibility to maximize experience. Operative obstetrics are offered to those in the rural/international tracks. PGY 1 residents average 100 deliveries. OB emphasis is offered in the P4 maternal-child medicine track as well as the P4 rural track with operative obstetrics. Many graduates practice OB without a fellowship.
