As with many important tasks, the job proves more manageable and has better outcomes when everyone works together. That’s certainly true for JPS, our public, tax-based institution, collaborating with the private sector to produce a better reality than either could alone.
These liaisons have resulted over the years in building better facilities and providing enhanced treatment for our patients. The most recent challenge, a $15 million capital campaign to build the new 5-story patient tower, is a success in the making with only some $5 million left to reach the goal. Part of the private support has come from such generous donors as the Jane and John Justin Foundation, Alcon Foundation and a plethora of private citizens and businesses.
Partners Together For Health, a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) organization, serves as the bridge to connect community leaders and benefactors with JPS to create healthier communities, particularly those who are most in need.
