Healthcare for Women

JPS healthcare providers are here to partner with you in preventing health problems or finding them early, when they could be easier to treat or cure. They manage chronic health conditions such as diabetes and heart disease. They can help you plan for pregnancy and stay healthy between pregnancies.

Primary care for adults is available at JPS Health Centers in the community. In addition, the JPS Health Centers for Women feature a wide range of diagnostic services and specialty practices for women of all ages. These clinics provide access to specialists in obstetrics (pregnancy, childbirth and post-natal care), gynecology (care of women and their reproductive system), gyn-oncology (women’s cancers), perinatology (maternal-fetal medicine), sonography (ultrasounds), urogynecology (female pelvic medicine) and internal medicine.

Services include:

  • Gynecology, including well women/pelvic exams
  • Prenatal care: healthcare for women who are pregnant. Centering Pregnancy groups
  • Post-partum care: healthcare after women give birth
  • Breastfeeding education and support
  • Family planning and birth control
  • Mammography: screening for breast cancer
  • Walk in pregnancy tests
  • Preconception/Interconception education: healthcare for women of childbearing age.

Breast Health

The Breast Center at the JPS Health Center for Women - Main provides patient-centered breast care for women of all ages. The center is staffed by physicians, radiologists and on-site nurse practitioners who specialize in breast services. Through our multidisciplinary approach and state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic services, patients can receive accurate diagnosis and immediate care.

Oncology Services

The JPS Center for Cancer Care provides state-of-the-art evidence-based, multi-disciplinary care to patients with cancer and blood disorders. We care for patients with gynecological cancer (women’s cancer) such as cervical, ovarian and uterine (womb) cancer. Our comprehensive program includes radiology, chemotherapy and general clinical treatment in addition to laboratory, pharmacy and social services.
