Annual Trauma Conference

INFORMED STRATEGIES: Great Saves Over the Decades

September 7, 2012

Trauma care is more than saving lives. Surviving a traumatic injury is the first step on the journey. Trauma care incorporates every facet of recovery and rehabilitation a patient needs to achieve the highest functioning outcome possible. It also considers and addresses end-of-life situations when a positive outcome is beyond reach. It is with this objective that trauma care has seen many firsts in life-saving and achieved Great Saves.

The Department of Trauma Services at JPS Health Network is proud to present this year's trauma conference as a didactic educational activity designed to give providers strategies, best practices, contemporary treatment modalities, and methods to triage and treat injured and critically ill patients following a traumatic event. Social media, measurement of the quality of trauma care, and end-of-life perspectives are also considerations for superior trauma patient management.
