The Family Medicine, OB/Gyn, Orthopedic, Psychiatry and Transitional programs all participate in the ERAS residency application system. Any paper applications submitted to these programs will not be considered. In order to obtain additional information on ERAS, go to www.aamc.org. ERAS lists programs as they appear in the ACGME directory. The program listings are noted below:

FAMILY MEDICINE

John Peter Smith Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program

All of the programs require that applicants submit the following information through ERAS:

• Common Application Form
• Dean's Letter
• Medical School Transcript
• Photo
• 3 Letters of Recommendation
• Personal Statement
• USMLE Transcript
• ECFMG Status Report

The applicant must specifically state that the letters of recommendation, personal statement and USMLE transcript be sent.

Application Criteria

Applications are accepted through ERAS from Sept. 1 to
Dec. 31.

Each step of the USMLE must be passed within 3 attempts.

Generally: graduation from medical school or completion of an ACGME approved residency program within the last 5 years.

Only J1 visas are accepted.

ECFMG certification is preferred before interviewing.

US experience is not required but is preferred.
