Requirements

• Junior Volunteers must be 15-18 years of age
• Provide one reference and complete an essay consisting of one typed or legibly printed page (no more than 12 point font) and at least 250 words.
  • Essay topic: Providing our patients with excellent personal service is an important aspect of every department within JPS Health Network. Tell us about a time you received excellent customer service. Your experience does not need to be medically related; we want to know what excellent customer service means to you.
• Adhere to the Volunteer Code of Ethics
• Complete study materials and a 90-minute Orientation Session
• Complete a Tuberculosis Skin Screening and seasonal flu vaccination provided by JPS Health Network

Other: 

• Volunteer uniforms consist of a blue JPS Volunteer shirt purchased through Volunteer Services for $15 each, khaki or black pants or skirt of appropriate length and dark shoes.
• There is a badge deposit of $25 due before a badge is issued. Deposit is only refundable through Volunteer Services when you return the badge.
