JPS’ commitment to trauma goes beyond the walls of our emergency and trauma services department. We reach out to the community to provide education with the goal prevent traumatic injuries. An overview of our programs is listed below.

LIVE 3-D "Don't Drive Distracted"

In 2008, nearly 6,000 people were killed in motor vehicle accidents directly attributable to cell phone use or texting while driving.  Click here to learn more and make the pledge to "Pay attention. Don't pay the price."

Just Party Safe

This program is targeted toward teens and helping them make good decisions on prom night.  We partner with local organizations to provide information about the dangers of drinking and driving, and other activities that could make them a trauma victim.

Just Play Safe

This project reaches out to children 2 to 12 years of age and their parents on Halloween night. Project volunteers provide education on the importance on forming good habits just as wearing bicycle helmets and using seatbelts.
