Annual Trauma Conference: Great Saves Over the Decades
In September 2012, JPS hosted 100 healthcare professionals at its annual trauma conference titled “Informed Strategies: Great Saves Over the Decades.” Keynote speaker James H. “Red” Duke, Jr. M.D., from the University of Texas Medical School, discussed his succinct approach to the complex injured trauma patient.
As the only Level I Trauma Center in Tarrant County and its surrounding areas, JPS cares for more than 2,500 trauma cases each year and gives those seriously injured the best chance for a positive attendance.
Unexpected trauma can affect anyone regardless of race, socioeconomic status or access to health insurance, and though costly, JPS is committed to preserving the highest levels of patient care. The funds donated to JPS Foundation allow JPS to uphold this life-saving designation and benefit the community at large.
