Welcome to the John Peter Smith Podiatry Residency Program
We are fortunate to be surrounded by a truly amazing group of professionals. The doctors, nurses, therapist, medical assistants, surgical technologists and office staff are very well trained and have years of experience. We firmly believe that there is not any greater honor than you putting your trust in us for your postgraduate education and training.
Our residents work alongside other training programs at John Peter Smith Hospital including: Orthopedics, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics, Sports Medicine, Psychiatry and Radiology.
We are committed to providing you with training and education that is second to none in every way. Our group of staff physicians in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is well trained, easy to approach and communicates with one another. The collaboration begins with medical students who spend time with us and continues with all of the residents at our hospital.
The patients treated at our hospital range in age from children who are only a few weeks old with deformities to elderly suffering from a variety of medical conditions. As a Level I Trauma Center and county hospital, we have a high volume of trauma cases as well as a diverse clinical experience to facilitate a well-rounded experience.
We offer unparalleled training and experience to those who choose to spend time with us, whether it be for a few weeks as medical students or several years as residents. Ultimately you must decide what is best for you, but we appreciate you looking and considering us for your training.
