JPS Research Day 2012

The Office of Research and Scholarly Activity

Thanks to All Who Made this Year’s Research Day a Success!

JPS Health Network hosted its 6th Annual Research Day on Friday, June 1, 2012. For more than a century, John Peter Smith Hospital has provided excellent clinical care in Tarrant County and training opportunities for residents, medical students, nursing students and a host of allied health professionals. The JPS Health Network of today has moved beyond the walls of the hospital to more than 60 locations to include school-based clinics, community clinics, a sports medicine clinic and an inpatient psychiatric hospital. JPS has centers devoted to women, pediatrics, HIV/AIDS and cancer. The hospital is the only Level I Trauma Center in Tarrant County.

JPS Research Day is a venue for students, faculty, staff, nurses, allied health professionals, external partners and agencies, and the community to present research efforts. Poster and oral presentation competitions are judged in each category and prizes are awarded at the close of the day.
