Executive Director’s Message

Kimberly BrittonWhile it may not feel like it -- it’s fall at last in Tarrant County. For Partners this time of year means a new fiscal cycle, new board members, newborns with needs, new plans for upcoming year and renewed relationships with folks who have been out-of-pocket during the summer.

In this autumn issue of our e-newsletter, you will learn more about the newest leaders joining our board. We have four phenomenal volunteers rounding out a group of dedicated board members.

The JPS Shower of Love fall campaign helps babies and their parents who may be leaving the hospital with very few of the essentials for their start in life. Generous community members holding baby showers and making donations have given thousands of dollars and items that have clothed and outfitted many of these special patients but our resources have dwindled. Please take a minute to learn how you can help.

Thanks to the Rees-Jones Foundation and Dr. Allan Saxe, we are very close to completing the two-years’ funding needed to expand our psychiatric school-based services program. Our 18 centers, attached to several Tarrant County school districts, have been inundated with young patients in serious need of psychiatric care. The funding is close to completion and you can read more about it in this issue.

As always, I am deeply grateful to the volunteers and donors who so freely give their time and treasure to help Partners as we support JPS Health Network in the fulfillment of its mission to improve the health status of the families and individuals in the communities we serve. Thank you for playing an important role in these efforts.

Sincerely,

Kimberly Britton Signature
